PORTFOLIO
Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough
I am currently responsible for all the content on the Foundation's website.
Have a look at my social media management style here & here.
Peterborough Musicfest
I was responsible for all the content on the Peterborough Musicfest website. You can also sample my social media management here, here, and here.
Have a look at this mini-documentary about the founding of the festival I recently produced, shot and edited here.
This is a really fun launch promo that I wrote, shot, and edited based on an original idea by Megan Murphy (she stars, and she's fabulous).
Here's another really silly ad, starring Megan Murphy. It doesn't look great because we had virtually no time for production (no lights!) but it shows you what you can do with a strong idea. I shot and edited it, and Meg improvised all her dialogue.

Peterborough Performing Arts Recovery Alliance
I worked with the PPARA in a volunteer capacity to raise awareness about the dire state of the performing arts during the height of the COVID-19 health emergency. I wrote, shot and edited this video with Megan Murphy to help raise money for the "Arts Alive" fund administered jointly by the Electric City Culture Council and the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough.
Trent Centre for Aging & Society
I was responsible for all the content on this website (most of which remains intact). You can sample my newsletter and magazine writing here.
TrentAging2019 - Conference Website
I was tasked with creating a website to promote and manage the joint international conference of the European and North American Networks in Aging Studies hosted by the Trent Centre for Aging & Society in May 2019.
Greenpeace Canada
Greenpeace Canada asked me to do some copy editing and simple writing for their donor magazine. It went so well, they decided I should take over the next couple of issues, which meant I wrote nearly every story, picked the images, and directed the layout (realized by a pro designer). This is the one I'm most proud of.
Trent Magazine - Feature Story
Another example of extreme deadline writing. We were called late in the afternoon on a Wednesday and told there was space for a 2,000 word article in the next edition of Trent Magazine. The catch, they needed it first thing Friday. The story begins on page 17, and it's credited to my supervisor.
Lang Pioneer Village and Museum
I worked with another researcher to investigate, research, and write a comprehensive history of Lang's store of farm implements. Our 80 page report is now the basis for interpretation at the newly built implement barn.
